Spring has officially sprung! What better way to celebrate this lovely season and month than by featuring the lovely @pigskinandpigtails as our Creator of The Month! @pigskinandpigtails, also known as Jennifer Sanderson, is known for her thorough and upbeat tutorials for Cricut users and screen printers. Let’s learn more about Jennifer and her wonderful craft journey below!
Jennifer has been in the crafting space for quite awhile! In fact, Pigskins & Pigtails began in 2010 under the glow of Friday Night Lights. Jennifer explained, “My husband was a high school football coach (the “pigskins”), and I'd accompany our young daughters (the “pigtails”) to the games, proudly sporting custom shirts I had crafted. Our daughters have outgrown their pigtails, and my husband has since moved on from coaching, but my love for making custom t-shirts has stuck with me.”
Since then, Jennifer has been creating and crafting with blank apparel ever since. Jennifer utilized iron-on vinyl to create customized t-shirts for years until she realized a more efficient method. “I realized that the vinyl I was accustomed to cutting with my machine could be applied to a screen-printing frame instead.” Since then, Jennifer took her passions of screen printing and turned it into a business. Jennifer educates her followers and students all over the world on how to master this craft! Jennifer explains all the tips & tricks through her social media posts, online classes, and in-person workshops.
Jennifer implores her students to take the leap and try new methods! A quote Jennifer lives by is by Marie Forleo, “Everything is figureoutable.” Jennifer personally experienced this when figuring out how to use screen print using vinyl.
Jennifer loves utilizing Threadsy for her craft projects. Jennifer’s personal favorite brand is Bella + Canvas. Jennifer specifically likes The Bella + Canvas Unisex Triblend T-Shirt. This triblend t-shirt is made out of cotton, polyester, and rayon, so you are getting an incredibly soft and carefully crafted t-shirt.
Thank you, Jennifer, for creating such a wonderful and educational page for your followers and for being a part of the Threadsy family!
